Whether you're new to reading or a real bookworm - join us for our book club!
SU x Library are hosting a monthly book club for you, and we're even buying the books for you to loan for free to read before the sessions!
Our first book club will be a chance for you to meet new book lovers, have some free pizza, and talk about a book you've enjoyed recently, or your favourite book. You'll be learning about others through the bits of books they connected to, and maybe even add to your TBR list.
At the end of the session, you can loan the one of the books we'll be reading for the next session! They will be:
27th October (HALLOWEEN THEME): There is no Antimemetics Division by qntm or Incidents Around the House by Josh Malerman
24th November (CYBERPUNK THEME): Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick or Neuromancer by William Gibson
Our book club books have been handpicked by your University Library staff, but after that it's over to you to choose the books, and we'll get them ready for you to borrow.
You must have a ticket to participate. Please sign up ahead of the session to save you time on the day.
Accessibility: We do our best to accommodate all access needs where possible. Should you require anything, please speak to the staff and committee there, and they will adjust the activity as needed.
What you need: All equipment will be provided; just bring yourselves!
