Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Where will we meet?
A. For transport please meet at the roundabout between the Sports Centre and Peel Park CLV. If travelling there without the SU, please meet at the front of the Ikea store.
Q. Is there somewhere to get food and drinks?
A. Yes the restaurant will be open until 8pm but expect queues and delays.
Q. I've bought a ticket but can't go anymore. What do I need to do?
A. Tickets are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, please email su-opportunities@salford.ac.uk to see if there is a waiting list and someone can take your place. If they can, we may be able to pass-on the ticket and refund the money however this is not guaranteed.
Q. What time will the event start
A. We recommend a 4.45 arrival time for a 5pm coach departure or a 6pm arrival time at Ikea.
Q. What time will the event finish?
A. The coach will leave at 8.45 so we expect students to be making thir way back to it by 9.30. Those travelling on their own, the full event finishes at 9pm.
Q. How do I get there?
A. You can book onto our £5 coach service if not sold out. Otherwise, we recommend a train to Ashton-under-Lyne and a 10 minute walk, or the Blue Line Tram from Picadilly Gardens to Ashton-under-Lyne and an 8 minute walk.
Q. I've brought my car to uni, can I drive and park there?
A. Yes you can. Parking is free of charge in the Ikea car park but we suspect this will fill up quickly.
