Want to try something new or get back into an old hobby? Join your SU at Manchester Cathedral Gardens for Ice Skating. Tickets are £6 which covers the cost of your skate time, skate hire, and a drinks token. These tickets are usually £17.50 so tell your friends because once they’re gone, they’re gone! You will need to pay for your own transport via bus or train to get to the ice rink.
Please ensure you bring your student ID card with you as this will be checked by the venue for admittance.

♿ Accessibility! We do our best to accommodate all access needs where possible. Should you require anything, please speak to the staff and committee there, and they will adjust the activity as needed.
👟 What you need! Your student ID and clothing layers, it will be cold on the ice but you will warm up quickly skating round. We recommend gloves and thick socks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What should I wear?
A. We recommend Waterproof Clothing, Socks, gloves, and hats. You must wear socks when using the skates, the venue recommends thick socks for your comfort.
Q. Where will we meet?
A. By the entrance to the rink, please have your ticket handy so we can scan you in and hand you a wristband.
Q. Is there somewhere I can store my things?
A. Yes, there is a cloakroom for small items for £2 per item.
Q. I've bought a ticket but can't go anymore. What do I need to do?
A. Tickets are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, please email su-opportunities@salford.ac.uk to see if there is a waiting list and someone can take your place. If they can, we may be able to pass-on the ticket and refund the money however this is not guaranteed.
Q. What time will the event start
A. We recommend a 5.30-5.45pm arrival time for a 6pm start just you’re ready when the session starts. There will be no extension to the session if you are late.
Q. What time will the event finish?
A. Skate time will finish at approximately 6:45-7pm
Q. How do I get there?
A. The 67 and 100 Salford’s Reds bus take you from the university right next to the ice rink for £2 per journey. You can also get any train bound for Manchester Victoria.
