Wednesday 30 July is International Friendship Day. Join us in celebrating our wonderful university community by creating friendship bracelets for yourself or for another student. We also have zine making with your Library team!
Ever wanted to turn your thoughts, doodles, memes, poems, obsessions, or hot takes into something tangible and totally you? Welcome to Zine Maker Space – an open, creative workshop where you can cut, paste, draw, fold, and glue your way into zine-making greatness! Zines are DIY mini-magazines that can be about literally anything – from cats and coffee to climate change and cosmic theories. Whether you're into art, activism, storytelling, or just making cool stuff with your hands, there's a zine waiting to be made by you. This is a great way for you to relax and unwind and focus on your mental health and wellbeing after the stress of deadlines.
🔧 We’ve got all the materials – scissors, glue, collage fodder, pens, paper, photocopier access, and more
🧠 No experience needed – just bring your ideas, creativity, or even your chaos
📚 Drop in, chill out, and make something awesome
Whether you’re zine-curious or a seasoned self-publisher, come hang out, meet other creative minds, and leave with your own handmade zine (or two)!
Don't like the sound of this craft? Feel free to bring your own to get involved however you want! Bring some friends or come alone, everyone is welcome for an afternoon of music and creativity, and a great chance to meet some new like-minded friends.
